Performed April 24, 2025 at Friends Meeting at Cambridge, Cambridge, MA with the participation of Rachel Liang.
聪明 快乐 (cōngmíng kuàilè) features an adult scale replication of a baby garment. The replica was produced through an extensive process of material sourcing, fabric dyeing, screen printing, pattern drafting, and sewing. Throughout the production process, the piece began to deviate further from the original baby garment–resulting in a material exploration between the past and the present. The jacket was incorporated into a performance that generated a dialogue between the original garment and the replica. The performers stood facing away from one another, taking successive steps towards each other as they read aloud cards that detailed the discrepancies between the two objects.

In addition to the performance, the replicated jacket was exhibited in the Placeholder group exhibition.
